James DeGraaff is a 2007 graduate of Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He practiced both large and small animal medicine for several years and then narrowed his focus to companion animal medicine in 2013. Along the way he developed a particular focus in small animal dentistry, and in recent years has become passionate about integrative medicine and nutrition. For the last 7+ years he has been actively studying homeopathy which is without a doubt his favorite modality of medical treatment. He is particularly passionate about homeopathy due to its potential to enable genuine cure of disease and to serve as prevention against acute and chronic disease states.
In his spare time Dr. DeGraaff loves to spend time with his wife Angela and their five young children. They will often be found hiking, riding bikes, and walking in the woods. They keep busy with active involvement in their local church, homeschooling, and taking care of their various animals.
